Insulation plug IPL 90 - fasten to mineral wool and more
The insulation plug IPL 90 makes direct fastening into various external insulation materials - among them mineral wool and Heraklith boards - possible without risking thermal bridges.
Rely on quality ‘Made in Germany’: The IPL 90 consists of ageing- and weather-resistant nylon, is temperature-resistant from -40 to +80 °C and, thanks to its sharp cutting tip, can be drilled directly into the insulated façades. Developed, manufactured and supplied by the CELO plant in Aichach, Germany.
Advantages of insulation plug IPL 90
- Time-saving: No pre-drilling thanks to sharp drilling tip; drills reliably through hard ETICS plaster (up to 7 mm)
- Length of 90 mm: sufficient hold in mineral wool boards (compared to shorter plug variants)
- Innovative thread geometry and slim core: easy insertion through the holes pre-punched in the sheet metal profiles
- Energy-efficient: Fastening directly in the insulation without thermal brides
- Head-Ø of 25 mm and TX40-drive: ideal for this type of application

Application and suitable insulation boards
Especially with less pressure-resistant insulation materials such as mineral wool / Rockwool, subsequent fastening can be difficult. The innovative and specially developed insulation plug IPL 90 masters two challenging applications here:
- fixing 10 or 12 mm thick Heraklith panels to ceiling panels made of mineral wool or EPS
- fixing sheet metal profiles with 18 mm clearance holes to ceiling panels made of mineral wool or EPS
Further applications also in hard-foam boards, polystyrene boards and many other substrates cover light fixings such as small lamps, motion detectors and edge trim strips, which are fixed to the anchor with a chipboard screw Ø 4.5- 5.0 mm.

You profit from thermal bridge-free fixing products ‘Made in Germany’, which widely guarantee a clean seal against driving rain thanks to the integrated EPDM seal and can be screwed directly through the plaster into the insulation thanks to the sharp drilling tip. The time-saving fixings can be screwed directly into EPS polystyrene insulation boards, XPS insulation boards such as Styrodur or perimeter insulation, mineral wool and Rockwool as well as wood fibre insulation boards, thus saving valuable installation time
